LightNight is Liverpool’s one-night arts and culture festival taking place annually in May. Over 50 city centre organisations keep their galleries, museums and venues open until late, staging around 100 special cultural events for visitors of all ages. Most of the events are completely free, and they are for residents and visitors to the city alike. 5pm until late.

Liverpool Rock n Roll Marathon and Half Marathon!
Experience Liverpool’s unforgettable Marathon course featuring a scenic tour of city centre. Starting at the Albert Dock on Liverpool’s Waterfront – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – before heading towards the World Famous home of The Beatles – The Cavern Club – and a new jaunt down Penny Lane. From here the route heads North of the city, with a run around Goodison Park, home stadium of Everton FC, through Stanley Park and the majestic Palm House. You'll pass Anfield home to Liverpool FC then return to the city with spectacular views of the Liverpool Skyline and River Mersey. Runners then pass the Liver Buildings and head towards Chinatown and running through the Chinese Arch and Princes Park, beautiful Sefton Park and Otterspool Park culminating in an electric finish on the Waterfront promenade alongside the Liverpool Echo Arena.

The beautiful Atkinson in Southport hosts an array of vintage stalls and craft. There will be something to delight everyone. Vintage Clothing for men and women, accessories, jewellery, vinyl, homeware as well as artists and makers displaying their wonderful hand made treasures. Opens 11am. Lord Street Southport.
