LIPA 2020

Five
📅 Thursday 20 - Saturday 22 February 2020
Liverpool Institute For The Performing Arts
Inspired by Luc Besson’s film The Fifth Element, 5 is at heart a love story.

Set in the 23rd century it follows the journey of taxi driver Korben Dallas and Leeloo, the Fifth Element, as she searches for the other four elements to save the Earth from The Great Evil.

Directed by Andrew Hall, 5 will encompass a range of dance styles as well as original music.

Visiting professional choreographers who specialise in different genres will contribute to the performance. Forging all aspects of our dancers’ training as artists, these choreographers will truly reveal our final year students’ versatility.

Liverpool Institute For The Performing Arts
Fashion student and popular sorority sister Elle Woods enrols at Harvard Law School in a bid to win back the boyfriend who dumped her because she wasn’t ‘serious’ enough.

Once there, she overcomes hostility and mockery from her peers and professors as she starts to realise her potential. By the second semester Elle is accepted as an intern by a top lawyer and plays a crucial role in a high-profile murder case.

Based on the 2001 comedy film, Legally Blonde is a feel-good musical and underdog story of self-discovery, self-belief and the power of self-determination.

Performed by LIPA students from all disciplines and external performers.
