Upstairs at the Bluecoat
Upstairs at the Bluecoat Upstairs at the Bluecoat, the restaurant and bar located on the first floor of the Bluecoat has been fully refurbished and is newly opened following a fire in May 2008. Located on the first floor of the Bluecoat, Upstairs at the Bluecoat offers visitors a dining experience steeped in local and international history. The Bluecoat is Liverpool city centre’s oldest building and one of the UK’s oldest arts spaces, previously showcased the early works of everyone from Picasso to Benjamin Britten, Yoko Ono, Captain Beefheart, Michael Clarke, Nitin Sawney and Jeremy Deller. The restaurant has an 80 seater capacity, operating lunch and dinner menus catering for families, couples and friends alike. The dishes are created using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients to ensure continual high quality of food and sustainability of local produce is maintained. The bar has a drinks menu which offers something for every taste, local boutique beer, wine sourced by the critically acclaimed Head Sommelier, Hamish Anderson, or something light such as organic fruit juice, homemade smoothie or illy coffee and traditional leaf tea. Upstairs at the Bluecoat is the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal or lively discussion after time enjoyed experiencing the unique artwork and local talent that is on display at the Bluecoat, or simply somewhere to end your working day or begin your evening of fun.
