Clunk by The Suitcase Ensemble. Unity Theatre
Thursday 18 - Friday 19 June 2009
Two women and an incoherent male live together but can't quite work out why. The radio is broken, another mysterious relative has died and there's a parcel on the step. It's like this every day. But last night I dreamt of George again...
Clunk is an absurd and refreshing comedy about being persecuted by a rag toy from a half remembered childhood, what happens when the tedium of life becomes unbearable and why we choose to stamp on our own dreams of escape.
A highly visual feast of unhinged humour, charming puppetry, audacious nonsense and existential angst, Clunk casts a wry eye over a world which turns us all into idiots.
Directed by Andrew Gledhill. Performed by Tessa Buddle, Christopher Murray and Clare Robinson
