I went to The Side Door restaurant with my husband on Saturday 7th June 2008. We chose the pre-theatre menu as we were going to the Everyman Theatre nearby. We both had the soup of the day starter which was cauliflower soup. It was delicious. I had salmon in a spicy but mild curry sauce with butter rice and my husband had chicken in a type of mediterranean sauce with celeriac mash. We both enjoyed our main courses. To finish, I had rosewater pannecotta and my husband had cheese and biscuits which I helped him eat! The restaurant was small and had an intimate atmosphere. The service was excellent. We will definitely go again. The meal was also extremely good value for money. I have been to several of the restaurants on your list. The Side Door was one of the best.
