The X Factor 2012 is officially underway as the Judges from the country’s number one entertainment show head to Liverpool to find the UK’s next budding star. The Judging Panel, including Take That’s Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh will be greeted by thousands of hopefuls at Echo Arena Liverpool on Wednesday 23 May 2012

Last year saw Crosby born singer Marcus Collins and Kirkby singer Craig Colton shine brightly, with Marcus finishing as runner-up and he has already achieved Top 10 chart success with his album. Whilst the previous year, Anfield-born singer Rebecca Ferguson shot to fame and has already appeared at the Echo Arena as a solo artist and had platinum success with her debut album Heaven.

The X Factor team will take over the Echo Arena for three days as they record the live auditions, which will be televised when the show starts later in the year. One Direction - New 2013 Arena Tour

Now Zayn, Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis announce an arena tour of the UK and Ireland in February and March 2013. The 11 date tour will see the boys perform at key venues across England, Scotland and Wales, including Echo Arena Liverpool on Sunday 17 March 2013.
