TEADance @ The Racquet Club
Saturday 15th August 2009
Ladies, get out your fanciest frocks and gentlemen, dust off your tailcoats! It's time to revisit the glamour and sophistication of the 1930s and 40s with Club Geek Chic's funky take on the traditional afternoon entertainment!
Join us at Liverpool's stunning Racquet Club for an evening of live music, dancing, afternoon tea, vintage stalls and tea cocktails! A professional dance teacher will be on hand at the beginning of the evening to teach guests the basics of traditional dances like the Foxtrot, the 2-step and the Waltz.
Hosted by Geek Chic's very own Master of Ceremonies, Mr Rinty Boo from 1922, the event will feature the unspeakably cool and quirky 7-piece The Maladies of Bellafontaine, piano maestro Michael Neary and a very special guest vocalist...
The evening will be brought to a close by DJ Che Burnley who'll be playing chilled-out and sophisticated dance music for those who want to shake their elegant tail feather in a less traditional way!
Tickets for TEADance are priced at £20 which includes live entertainment from 5pm until midnight, free dance tuition and full afternoon tea (pot of tea and refills, sandwiches and a selection of cakes). These can be purchased on Paypal via our homepage. www.clubgeekchic.co.uk
So come, face the music and dance with Club Geek Chic!
