Summer Arts Festival
23 Jun - 15 Jul 2010
Notre Dame Catholic College For The Arts
Liverpool schoolchildren will have a chance to shine this month as the city’s seventh Summer Arts Festival, organised by Notre Dame Catholic College for the Arts, gets underway showcasing the best in music, dance, drama, direction and writing. The festival will officially launch on Monday 28 June with author Frank Cottrell Boyce and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool among the guests
Opening on Wednesday 23 June until Thursday 15 July, the festival is a mixture of showstopping storytelling from the magic of MGM and a Wizard of Oz alongside the King and Queen of Disney, Mickey and Minnie Mouse performing Funtastia, to local writing talent with Mister Bigwig Sees the Light, with the original storyline by Notre Dame’s Director of Arts Lesley Bentley and developed by the college’s team and The Mystery of Tikal The Hidden Code, the story of a Liverpool girl called Jennifer whose family house move couldn’t come at a worse time.
Contact Notre Dame on 0151 263 3104 for further information and to book tickets (£5, £2.50 concessions).
