Manchester to Liverpool Bike RideSunday 31 May 09Come and ride the trail linking these two historic maritime cities. Now in its fifth year, this ride starts by the Lowry Museum at Salford Quays, leaving Manchester via Old Trafford and Stretford, where it joins the Trans Pennine cycle trail. This mostly traffic-free route is ideal for family cycling (minimum age 8) offering stunning views across the Manchester Ship Canal and the Mersey estuary as you make your way down to the finish at Liverpool's Otterspool Park.
