Lest We Forget. Contemporary Urban Centre

‘Least we forget; Remember, impart but remember’, a solo show by Donna Berry on our third floor gallery. This is an exhibition celebrates the forthcoming Black History Month in October.
Gallery opening times:
Wednesday – Saturday 11am – 6pm.
Sunday 11am – 4pm.
'Lest We Forget: Remember, impart but remember', will address some of today’s culturally political issues, issues which continue to echo the extraction, Diaspora and relocation realities of a nation.
Primarily a body of sculptural works displaying African, Caribbean and Black British lineage to present day. Donnas’ aim is to consciously utilises and develop traditional African and Caribbean time honoured crafts, skills and materials such as wood and stone carvings, textiles and crocheting while combining modern contemporary approaches and practises relating to more recent post modern times.
