BBC1 The National Lottery AwardsSaturday 30 August 2008 BBC1 8:00pmNational Lottery: Big 7 Awards Ben Shepherd hosts an extravaganza celebrating the thousands of good causes that the National Lottery has supported over the last 14 years. Conclusion at 9pm St George's Hall, Liverpool is one of only 10 projects to make it through to this stage in the Best Heritage Project category and people from Liverpool are being urged to show their support as their vote could make all the difference. Public voting for the final of The National Lottery Awards has now closed. The winners of each category will be announced on a special BBC1 programme, live on Saturday 30th August 2008. The National Lottery Awards are an annual search to find the UK's favourite Lottery-funded projects. They aim to celebrate and recognise the difference that those projects - both large and small - have made to people, places and communities all across the UK. This year's categories are :
